Upcycle Event

10 May

This week i took a well deserved afternoon to whip up a few crafty treats…..

This T-shirt was bought about 6 months ago for £4 in the New Look sale and alothough i loved the drapey jersey and its casual shape….. it just didn’t work with my shape.
Hello Upcycle project!

For those of you not familair to ‘upcycling’ its a great way of updating and refreshing an over worn or outdated garment with a little sewing or a trim appliqued here and there. Change a collar or a cuff and whizz bang!
I have turned this simple T into a bright and fun summer top with under £5 worth of ribbon and yarn.
Want to try it out for yourself? Come along to Super+Super’s first Upcycle Event June 14th 6.30-8.30 and work some of your own crafty magic.

Come and jazz up that jersey or embellish that blazer at one or our more freestyle crafty events.

Simply bring along an old t-shirt, jumper or jacket that lacks a little fun or is jsut down right out of date and using the powers of embroidery, appliqué sharp scissors transform it into a refreshed/updated garment just begging to be worn again.

£10 will get you all the materials including ribbon, yarn, beads and trimmings you need to transform your item + tea coffee and cake! Oh and some expert tuition from resident crafter Miss Amy Phipps.
