Tom Say’s Darn It! First Workshop

3 May

Last Friday was the first Tom Say’s Darn It! workshop at Super+Super HQ.

This class is the perfect way to mend all your favourite cardi’s and woolens, with no prior knowledge of knitting required. And my how stylishly we mended! Home baked banana bread, tea on tap and probably the most relaxing afternoon i have had in a long time. We learnt traditional darning techniques with equal measures of historical info and tips thrown in! A perfect combo of  crafty fact and hands on learning.
On leaving tom’s class i set about my favourite peach vintage cardi with these newly found skills and have totally transformed it.
Tom’s next class is May 25th 7 til 9 pm and there are max 6 spaces available. For more information and to book email us at supersuperhq@gmail.com or call 01273773910

Oh my word, what gorgeous darns on your cardigan! I had a great time teaching all of you and I’m pleased to see you have taken the darning concept to heart and taken it further. I particularly like the inside-out blanket stitch on the button holes. One to keep in mind.
