What’s On This Week at Super+Super (its may don’t you know)

30 Apr

A whole new month, and another exciting week here at The HQ.

First we’d like to say a huge thanks to The Stylist magazine for our little feature in the new edition. We are thrilled! Take a peek…Right next to Downton…

This week see’s our 3rd Evening Stitch & Bitch at a newly scheduled time of 7 til 9pm Tuesday’s. As per usual we will be there with tea, vino, several kinds of baked goods and encourage you to all come along and get involved with whatever crafty project you fancy! Or if you haven’t got a project on the go at the moment it’s the perfect excuse to rifle through our books and magazine and chat with fellow creative types and get something started. I am currently darning my favourite cardi. Thanks Tom!

Also this week it’s the start of the new Crochet Granny Squares course. This 4 week course is a perfect introductory class for beginners looking for something a little more fun! Each 2 hour session  will work through all the techniques essential for getting to grips with the crafty art of crochet! Casting on and off, basic stitches including; chains, double crochet, trebles and double trebles…. and how to shape these into a host of exciting and colourful ‘Granny Square’ mini samplers which can be transformed into a blanket, fingerless mittens or a comfy cushion. An excellent course for getting to grips with the basics, and working confidently with colour! There are 3 spaces left so email us at supersuperhq@gmail.com  quick smart if this tickles your fancy.

We are very excited to be welcoming MyLovely Productions into the HQ this weekend (Saturday) for the first of many free events. Two-Headed is their debut Fringe performance and we have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to host an intro to this exciting company and their play! In this 2 hour free session the crew will be discussing how they went from having the urge to put on a play independently, to becoming producers and forming their very own company – why they have a female artist’s focus, fundraising and the many other challenges being confronted as a creative in the industry. There will be tea and cake and a bunch of truly inspiring folks. So stop by and see what all the fuss is about.

For more info about any of our events see our What’s On pages, or email us at supersuperhq@gmail.com

Tried to find your article in The Stylist and couldn’t find it. Can you add a direct link to the page of the article rather than the Stylist magazine as a whole?
